White Chocolate Mousse

This is my own personal recipe for white chocolate mousse. Enjoy.

  •  8 oz White Chocolate chips (1 bag)
  •  4 tbsp Sugar
  •  1 Egg yolk
  •  3 Egg whites
  •  2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

1. Heat White chocolate chips, 1/2 cup cream, and 1 egg yolk in saucepan on medium heat until JUST melted, do NOT overheat, as you can easily burn the white chocolate. Set aside to let cool.

2. In a separate bowl, beat 3 egg whites until they form stiff peaks- add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar as you mix.

3. In another separate bowl whip the heavy cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 tbsp sugar until soft peaks form.
with a spatula, fold the egg whites into the chocolate in 3 additions, then fold in whipped creme in 3 additions.

4. Chill for at least 3-4 hours for best results. Serve in wine glasses with blueberries (or any fresh fruit) and some chocolate shavings for a fancy dessert that everyone will love!
